Did you have a good Memorial Day?

Our ward had a breakfast that was actually really good. We played at the park for a long time and then went to Home Depot to get supplies to start our garden. It is coming together very nicely and I will post pictures at the end of the week when it is done. :)
Until then, how about a card?

A friend of ours just found out that her husband's cancer has returned. :( I wanted to make a simple card that could work as a sympathy card but be masculine too. I hope it brightens their day a little bit. Keep them in your prayers.

Flowers from the house in Washington

These are on Shirk Island. It is a huge bush full of these pink flowers. Honeybees fly in and out of the blossoms and their legs are covered in pollen.

These smell so good. When it is a little warm outside, the scent of them is everywhere. I love their color too.

I don't know if these are flowers but they are my favorite plant in the yard. The green and yellow on them is unreal.

These yellow poppies close every night and open every morning. They are everywhere in the front yard.

I wish you could see the detail in these flowers. It is amazing. I love the pink and green in them.

I think these are called Bleeding Hearts. I LOVE them.

BLUEBERRY BLOSSOMS (*Each flower will be a blueberry soon! YUM!)

Our gardner Jon (awesome guy) said that he has planted flowers all over the yard so that there is something blooming all year round. I can't wait to see what else will spring up!

I love Hambo!

Hambo stamps have some great images and sayings. They really crack me up. :) I made this card quite a while ago but didn't upload it. I didn't have anyone in mind when I made it, I just loved the saying and image. There is a sale going on right now so be sure to get over there. Hambo also offers both mounted and unmounted rubber stamps so you can save a ton there too.

Washington news-
There are sure a lot of birds here in Washington. I can't believe all the different bird calls and songs we hear all the time. And the birds are so colorful and beautiful. I am certainly enjoying having them around. :)

In the last month...

Wow! Where to start?

*Jason came out for Mother's Day and we decided that living so far apart was just nuts. We packed up the van and Prius and drove to Washington. We are here in our new home and LOVE it. I think this look on Alex's face says it all-

We took this picture of him at Houghton Beach today. We swam, picked up shells and played. I haven't lived near the water in over 20 years and I can't believe how much I've missed it. I never want to leave the water again.

*Jason started his new job at Microsoft. He loves it. We love it. It is the PERFECT job.

*We started going to our new ward. Everyone is very friendly here. We are going to a new friend's house tomorrow night for dinner and games. I am so grateful and thankful that we are fitting in.

There is so much more I want to tell you and I have about a dozen cards to download too. My life here is different and I think more at peace even though there is so much I miss (my family, my friends, our old ward, etc...). I think this has been a good change and a much needed change for our family. I will be posting more pictures later and will upload some pictures and a video of the house later in the week. I just need to get imovies set up. :)

See you soon!
