If you were wondering why I was slacking, read on.
As a child growing up in Colorado, we did not get snow days unless there was a snowstorm that the weather people called "The Blizzard of 19--". And usually, we got maybe one or two days (at the most) off from school.

This past Wednesday, it was supposed to snow in Kirkland. Nothing major, just snow. The whole school district closed school because of the THREAT of snow. Guess what? IT DID NOT SNOW ON WEDNESDAY! Not a flake. It did snow on Thursday and Friday though so school was cancelled those days and winter break began three days early.
While this may be every child's dream, it is definitely not every parents dream. These little stinkers are going to be home for two more weeks. During this time, we will have the crazy before Christmas, the mess/joy of Christmas Eve and Day and then the crash of it all.
It might be time to start adding something to my eggnog...
